Cranks Wholemeal Shortcrust Pastry
This is the basic recipe to follow for our shortcrust pastry when using brown flour.
you will need
- 200g 100% wholemeal flour
- 10ml/2tsp baking powder
- 50g butter or margarine
- 50g nutter or other vegetable oil
- 45ml/3tbsp water
how to make
- Place flour and baking powder in a bowl.
- Rub in the fats until the mixture resembles fine crumbs.
- Add sufficient water to give a soft but manageable dough.
- Makes about 300g.
