We're a small team here at the Dartington Restaurant, but perfectly formed (well, we like to think so). Like any good recipe, the restaurant is only as good as what goes into it, so our staff play an important part in its success with a delightful mixture of enthusiasm and down-to-earth common sense. Here are a few of the team, with a bit about them in case you fancy striking up a conversation about their favourite recipe or something.
Davide joined us in April 2011 as our baker, and boy does this guy bake….and (in his own words!!) his cheese scones are quite possibly the best ever made. Davide is from Italy and says his favourite dish is his mum’s peperonata (mixed peppers stew) as it reminds him of home (we knew he was a softie at heart). Davide joined us after an eye-opening 2 month trip around South America, where no doubt he had ample opportunity to practise his love of photography.
Gwydion has been at Cranks Restaurant since September 2005 as the Cook & Baker .. he doesn't like to listen to music while he cooks though! His favourite Cranks dishes are a good nut roast diner, curried rice salad, lasagne and chocolate oat cookies .... and he likes a snack too - crisps, chocolate, sweets "it's all good!". And after work, Gwydion enjoys football, cycling, playing his guitar and singing, and playing on his x-box. phew !
