We're a small team here at the Dartington Restaurant, but perfectly formed (well, we like to think so). Like any good recipe, the restaurant is only as good as what goes into it, so our staff play an important part in its success with a delightful mixture of enthusiasm and down-to-earth common sense. Here are a few of the team, with a bit about them in case you fancy striking up a conversation about their favourite recipe or something.

Jo Dovell

Manager

There’s not much that restaurant Manager doesn’t do, or hasn’t done at some point in her 27 years at the Old Cider Press. But here’s a quick overview of her favourite things: favourite foods: fish or Cranks toast & Marmite (fills you up); hobbies: mostly cooking, then swimming, sewing, walking; favourite music: Madeline Peroux; favourite celeb chef: Raymond Blanc/ Nigel Slater; favourite recipe: Spinach Roulade filled with cream cheese sweetcorn fresh basil & chives -find it in the recipes section!

Asia Eze

Cook

Asia has been with us as chef since 2008 and has been influential in maintaining the great reputation of the restaurant. Whilst she can turn her hand to many a recipe, she likes nothing more than a well made mixed salad. Maybe with some homemade dips on the side. In her spare time she’s partial to a spot of ceramic painting, preferably with some world music playing gently in the background. She’s also a big fan of the wagamama cookbook.
