Well it all comes down to one simple equation: eating good = feeling good. And of course feeling good also equals looking good. But, with today’s hectic lifestyles, it’s easy to let such a simple thing slip. Fortunately, Cranks have years of know-how that’ll help put a spring back in your step.
And while we’re on the subject of equations, we’d like to address a common misconception: healthy food doesn’t equal boring food. Far from it. Ever since we began we’ve scoured the world for imaginative, colourful recipes and ingredients to make sure everything we do is not only full of goodness, but naturally delicious too.

Fill in your details here and you'll never be the last to know.
The result is a range of breads, sandwiches, salads, pasta sauces, and prepared meals (plus there are more new products on the way) available in supermarkets, health & convenience stores, universities and staff dining rooms the length and breadth of the country. They’re all full of delicious ingredients and, just to prove it, you can now find all their recipes in the products section of our website. So you can recreate your favourite Cranks products at home. "That’s very generous," you say? "No problem," we say.
You can also find plenty of inspiring and healthy ways to eat in our bestselling recipe books, with recipes ranging from butternut squash, spinach and walnut tortilla to a really simple, but incredibly tasty, country vegetable soup. Or if you prefer, you can drop by our restaurant in Dartington, where you’ll always find some exciting new dishes on the menu.

Sticky Toffee Toastie anyone? Yes, you read that right... Sticky Toffee Toastie. Yes it's unusual, but that's what Cranks is all about. It's just one of the new recipes we'll be launching in the next few months, along with the ‘Cheesy Waldorf' Salad, the ‘Moroccan Bazaar' Deep Fill Sandwich and the ‘You Must Be Kidding' Classic Sandwich. And no, we're not kidding. See the Products section and Homepage for more details.

Have you ever run down the street naked, jumping for joy? No? Well, nor have we. Although I'm sure one of us has dreamt something similar at some point. If everyone started running down the street naked, jumping for joy the world would be a messy (but happy) place. Imagine what Oxford Street would look like at Christmas.
So why do we have a naked man jumping for joy on most of our packaging? Well, Cranks food has always been associated with feeling good, but it's also about liberating yourself from the normal, mundane food that we see around us 24/7. And what better way to express joyful liberation than by doing a naked leap? *
And after a few years of using the same happy, naked man we decided a new model was in order. So a few of us headed off to a photography studio and spent the day staring at a man's naked backside for all of six hours, which was a first for all of us, I'm sure. Now some of you might think that a backside is a backside, but we now feel we're fully accomplished in the world of buttocks: connoisseurs, if you like. Below are a few of our shots from the day - such happy memories!
* The management at Cranks would like to make it clear that if you are going to get naked and jump for joy, you should do so in the privacy of your own home.

Fresh food deserves a fresh website, and we felt our old website was getting a little... well, stale. And it's not just been given a new lick of paint - the whole website has been restructured to make it easier for you to find recipes, inspiration and information. We'll be adding more recipes and news to it as often as we can, to keep it all as fresh as possible with a few seasonal twists. There's not much point in giving you a thick winter soup recipe in the middle of summer, albeit an English summer - so it's always worth checking back for more.
The Products section has been updated to provide the recipes for all our sandwiches, salads, prepared meals and sauces you find in stores, so should you fancy knocking up your own tomato, ginger and basil pasta sauce for a few dinner guests, then be our guest.
You'll find links to where you can buy our mouth-watering cookery books (OK, the books themselves aren't mouth-watering, but the recipes inside them are) and there's even a new section where you can add your own ideas and recipes. So, if you happen to know a particularly unusual recipe for date and walnut cake, or your Mum's finally given you her secret recipe for celeriac gratin after years of pleading then you can share it with the world. (Should you want to, of course - if you prefer you can just keep it between you and Mum.) It could even end up being served in our very own restaurant in Devon, which would be something nice to casually drop into conversation the next time you've got friends around for dinner.
There's also a Restaurant section for our famous Cranks restaurant in Dartington, providing maps, menus and constantly updated news, so you can be sure to pick up the latest news and events should you wish to drop in. Bon appetite.
